Biography

Will got his first taste of electronic music at the age of eleven, when he heard Prodigy's "Out of Space" drifting down from his older brother's room. Running upstairs, he was instantly hooked by the energy and fun of dance music. He had been playing classical piano for two years at this point, but quickly worked and saved for his first Amiga computer to start composing and sampling on. At fifteen, after a few years of mucking around with dance music and listening to the likes of Sasha and Digweed, he visited his brother at uni, where he was fascinated with the Technics turntables they had set -up. Hooked again, he started mixing from cassette to computer to turntable and back again - playing friends parties and eventually the nightclubs on the Isle of Wight at seventeen.

Throughout university he held his own club nights and helped organise the huge outdoor raves around Guildford....notorious for his energy behind the decks and outrageous party habits! His use of various components, such as keyboards, decks, laptops and samplers are his trademark, so expect punchy, bespoke re-edits and his own productions in each set he plays.

Producing for 17 years and DJing for 13, his talents lie in taking the crowd on a musical journey, rather than pigeon-holing himself to one particular genre. His style is music to make you dance, delivered with integrity, fun and passion. What makes Will really stand out from his contemporaries, though, is a thorough understanding of music, his crowd, and what gets a dance floor moving.

His passion is stronger than ever today. Holding a weekly London residency, DJing on House FM, in UK venues from Ministry of Sound in London up to Bed in Sheffield, and international venues in Germany, France, Asia and Australia, Will Darling is a true DJ's DJ.
