2010 was a good year for Karl G & Jamesie, starting off with a bang, when they were featured on Radio 1's "Best Of British for 2010" show. They're getting huge global radio support, including "Never Should" being played no less than 4 weeks in a row on Radio 1, and then live on Radio 1 for their Ibiza Weekender Event, at Privilege.
As DJs Karl G & Jamesie they continued to build up an international pedigree across Europe, tour resident's for Ministry of Sound Scandinavia, as well as gracing the decks all over the UK for major club brands. Between them they've have had productions released on various comps and labels, MOS, Data Records or Born to Dance.
Going into 2011, the dynamic duo had already between them had 6 Radio 1 "Tried & Tested", Kiss FM's Chart Show "Track of the Week", No.1 in the Swedish Club Chart and support from a diverse range of the DJ A-List, including Ferry Corsten, Judge Jules, Tiesto, Stonebridge or Fat Boy Slim, whilst topping the download charts on numerous occasions.
Three months into 2011 and they've taken some huge steps in the industry already. With Born To Dance making them their flagship act, their Winter warmer EP hit number 8 in the Upfront Club Chart, gathered support from some of the biggest names on the planet- Paul Van Dyk, Freemasons, Gareth Emery, Paul Oakenfold, Stonebridge, Richard Durand + many more, and took the boys to another level.
This was quickly followed by their re-work of the trance classic "GameMaster", entering the Upfront Chart as the highest new entry, with Armin Van Buuren being added to the long list of big name DJs supporting their unique sound.
As a promoter Jamesie's "Loving Life..." also celebrated it's 8th Birthday last year. Still going strong and currently in the process of a re-vamp, over the years featured A-List DJs such as Axwell, as well as regular guests Judge Jules, Stonebridge, Brandon Block or John Kelly. Becoming an acclaimed and hugely popular night, it was considered the "Midlands' No.1 Night" by DJ Mag in March 2008, and the legendary "Loving Life... at Havana" after-parties in Leicester will live long in the memory of anyone who went to them - the guest DJs often remarked "this is the probably the busiest house night on a Friday in the UK".
You often read in DJ biogs a lot of exaggerated boasts and proclamations, but being both humble and down-to-earth Karl & Jamesie didn't want this to be about that. All you need to do with these two is keep an eye on their progression, and you will see two genuine people with an unbelievable passion for what they do. Watch them blossom and shine over the coming months, there's a gathering feeling feeling that 2011 is going to be their year...
