A lot of people have heard about the mad clubbing in Dubai but not so many people know about the rapidly developing club culture in Bahrain….. We do!!

And it’s for that reason that Mr Lovable Rogue, Dave Bonner got in touch with Club Seven to see if we could make a little visit & sure enough we were welcomed with open arms!!

Getting there was a mission & a half itself, taking an 8 hr night flight followed by another hr internal flight arriving in 42 degree heat!!

Arriving on Thursday, the day was spent lounging around & mostly sleeping although there was time to hook up with Techno legend Derrick May & Jim Masters for a spot of lunch… Followed by a night a funky techno & an astoundingly high consumption rate of beverages courtesy of Mr May, Mr Masters & the legendary Club Seven staff, Paul, Karim, Arun & DJ MileD!!

Gav McCall took to the decks at Midnight followed by euphoric cheers for his rocking uplifting vocal house set. It wasn’t so much about playing cool upfront tunes here, it was just about getting the party started with the right tunes!! The up for it party people were none like we’ve seen before & when an air horn made an appearance, the room was a little bemused. That didn’t last long though!! After a few loud bursts in intervals they began to understand & the room lifted. So much so, we recall the staff came & nabbed it for the rest of the night!!

Mr Rogue, Dave Bonner stepped things up a notch at 1.45 turning the funk into filth!! Dirty electro & pumping house music was the soundtrack until closing time. Rocker after rocker, kept the crowd engaged & on edge with anticipation until finally ending with the massive “In This Silence” by The Untouchables Aka Paul Emanuel (Haji & Emanuel), Gav McCall & Jamesie Feat Rita Campbell.

The night was rocking! The crowd were amazing! The hospitality was 2nd to none! A big thanks goes out to Paul, Karim, Arun, DJ MileD & all the staff we met. This was a trip not to be forgotten!! Here’s looking to the next party!!
