BORN TO DANCE 1ST BIRTHDAY @ THE ZAP!
SATURDAY 14TH APRIL

WITH
IAN CAREY
(Soul Providers / Saturated Soul)

The sun was shining & the masses were out in force on Brighton beach. 10PM & a lengthy buzzing queue had already formed outside the ZAP laying down the ground work for what was to turn out to be an amazing night & a simply huge 1st Birthday!!

KJ Clancy fired up the main room with his upbeat funky, jazzy & vocal house and the room was set alight in true style for leading honcho & rising star Gav McCall to take over.

Mr McCall showed the ZAP & Born To Dance crowd why he is a name to look out for!! Dropping his now trademark uplifting & driving house & electro, the podiums & dance floor were jam packed & rocking by 12:30AM. With tracks like Raul Rincon’s mix of “Good Lovin”, The Untouchables “In This Silence” & Faithless’s “Insomnia”, this was turning into 1 hell of a party!!

Upstairs in the Arch, Born To Dance’s very own Dave Bonner & Adam Robinson took the club classics & anthems sound to new heights with a packed out arch jumpin’ for 2 & half hours solid! Lovable Rogue Joe Mitchell followed suit with a flawless mix of funk fuelled classics to a more than appreciative crowd.

Mean while back in the main room, Mr Ian Carey arrived bang on cue @ 2AM to turn up the heat even more. With Ian’s technical ability & stunning track selection, tune after tune was rewarded with rapturous screams & shouts till 4am. Surprisingly, none of Ian’s own productions were aired, but with his talents, why show off?

Finally, Dave Bonner finished off Born To Dance’s 1st Birthday with a quality array of uplifting house & electro finally ending with the massive Micky Slim remix of House Of Pain “Jump Around”.

The weather was perfect, the music was sheer quality & the clubbers made Born To Dance’s 1st Birthday @ The ZAP a night to remember in Brighton!!

We’ll be back with more for you all very soon so watch this space…….
